ACI’s 2nd Annual Carbon Capture & Storage summit will bring together leading CCS experts from the oil & gas, power generation, utility technology providers and academia around the world to look at current projects and discuss the key challenges and opportunities for commercialisation

The agenda

Throughout the 2 days you will have the opportunity to hear from your industry peers and evaluate the latest solutions that includes:

  • Discuss policy options to accelerate the deployment of CCS
  • Consider how the outcome from Copenhagen may affect the development of CCS projects around the globe
  • Learn how to deal with scepticism and resistance
  • Discover lessons to be learned from the challenges faced and hurdles overcome at CCS sites around the world
  • Explore opportunities to lower the costs and risks of CCS to create commercial attractiveness
  • Examine the current funding possibilities for CCS projects
  • Understand the key technical issues relating to CO2 transport in traditional pipelines
  • Hear a critical comparison of post-combustion, pre-combustion and oxy-fuel combustion capture technologies

Who will attend?

All ACI’s events attract a targeted group of senior level decision-makers and researchers from industry. Our meetings are strictly end-user focused. Only a select group of companies are invited to sponsor the event to ensure the emphasis is on the industry participants, and making sure delegates have a valuable and positive experience.
Delegates will be drawn from energy, power, utilities, oil & gas, CO2 technology providers (capture, transportation, storage & applications) including Managing Directors as well as Directors and Managers of Technology, Engineering, CCS Projects, R&D and Business Development.

Site Visit – Tuesday 18th May 2010

As part of the Carbon Capture & Storage Summit delegates will have the opportunity to attend a site visit to the the Ketzin pilot site, just a short drive from the conference venue in Berlin.
