Gazprom Neft

Gazprom Neft is the follow-up company which took over Sibneft in 2006.

Sibneft is a vertically integrated oil company, building businesses in petroleum exploration, production, refining, and marketing. The geographic focus is Russia and the CIS.

Sibneft operates a profitable marketing network. It now markets oil products through several region-based marketing affiliates such as Kuzbassnefteproduct, Sibneft-Barnaulnefteproduct, Tyumennefteproduct, and Novosibirsknefteproduct, altogether controlling over 1100 filling stations. In June 2002, Sibneft acquired a marketing network in Tomsk region, where the company expects to build a 20% gasoline market share. Sibneft is also organizing a dealer network in Krasnoyarsk region.

Also in 2002, Sibneft opened a network of filling stations in Moscow, with plans to expand soon into the St. Petersburg market. Sibneft increased the number of branded sales outlets by 300 units in 2002, while the volume of small wholesale and retail sales of gasoline and diesel domestically grew by 18% to 2.7 million tons. The company is continuing its retail push by renovating filling stations and oil storage facilities, building new retail outlets, and actively promoting its brands.
