Oando
In 1956, Oando Plc commenced business operations as a petroleum marketing company in Nigeria under the name “ESSO West Africa Incorporated”. In 1976, the Nigeria Government bought Esso’s interest and re-branded it “Unipetrol Nigeria Limited”.
In August 2002, the in the meantime privatized Unipetrol acquired Agip Petroli’s 60% stake of Agip Nigeria Plc.
Following the acquisition of Agip Nigeria Plc, the company was re-branded to “Oando Plc” in 2003.
Oando Plc operates 540 retail outlets throughout Nigeria and markets a wide range of products including Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO also known as Diesel), Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK), Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK), Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO), Lubricating Oils and Greases, Insecticides, Bitumen, Chemicals and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG, also known as Cooking gas).
Oando also operates retail outlets in Benin, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Togo.
