SOCAR Petroleum

Socar Petroleum is a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), one of the largest oil companies in the world.

Objectifs of SOCAR:

• To exploit the national oil reserves
• To improve the management structure of the oil industry
• To provide development and integration of the petroleum energy complex for this purpose
• To performs scientific and project research

SOCAR operates on the entire territory of Republic in oil and gas field search and exploration, production and transportation, refining and marketing, trading of the products on the internal and foreign markets.

SOCAR exploits 57 oil deposits, 18 of them in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, the rest on land.

SOCAR employs 58.945 persons, the majority of them highly qualified professionals, many of them with an university degree.

In the retail petroleum sector SOCAR operates a growing petrol station network in Azerbaijan through its affiliate company SOCAR Petroleum and a well established and fast growing network of petrol stations in Georgia through its subsidiary SOCAR Georgia Petroleum.
