National Iranian Oil Co is the holding company of National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company which is responsible for the downstream activities.

Through the extensive distribution network in 32 regions, 132 districts, 85 storage, 813 government and private station, 32 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) distribution firms, 130 gas-tank filling units, 9000 oil and product carrier trucks, 1000 LPG carrier trucks, and two Iran-gaz and Persi-gaz firms, NIORDC acts as the largest distributor and provider of half of the liquid gas required by domestic consumers
