SOCAR to open 30 petrol stations in Ukraine's Odessa

Ukraine's ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Azerbaijan Boris Klinchuk told a news conference that the relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan are developing successfully.

Ukraine's statistical data shows that the trade turnover in October has risen dramatically and for the first time the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani economic relations have had a positive balance of $16 mln. This is due to the fact that Azerbaijani oil was first supplied to Ukraine. Ukrainian companies bought about 500,000 tons of refined products from the Kremenchuk oil refinery.

SOCAR has established its affiliate in Kiev. Negotiations are now held on the opening of 30 petrol stations of SOCAR in Odessa.

Unfortunately and due to the economic crisis, we cannot raise the volume of trade turnover between the countries to a billion the Ambassador said, "but I predict that the trade turnover will make 800 mln and even top this figure. I am convinced that the the trade turnover between the countries will reach a billion in the coming years."
