Source: Planet Retail | Posted / Last update: 07-01-2010

Data mining specialist Dunnhumby, predominately owned by Tesco, has acquired price optimisation software provider KSS Retail

Both companies have been working for Kroger in the US and have already combined their efforts there.

KSS Retail provides software which generates optimised prices based on consumer demand that accurately models and forecasts the effects of future pricing and promotional decisions for retailers. The pricing specialist will operate as an independent business unit of Dunnhumby and maintain its existing management structure. Dunnhumby analyses the loyalty card and POS data for Tesco, Kroger and Casino.
