SOCAR petrol stations around world to operate on single concept

Well-informed sources say that the concept was elaborated by SOCAR’s sub-company SOCAR Energy Georgia that launched retail operations earlier than its parent company.

“SEG developed not only the design of the petrol stations operating under the SOCAR brand but also a system of corporate governance and reporting. Today it is possible to assert that SOCAR petrol stations, regardless of their location (in Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Ukraine or Angola), will look and operate uniformly,” a source says.

SOCAR Petroleum is carrying out petrol station network development on the basis of the concept. By the end of 2010 SOCAR is to own network of 60 petrol stations in Georgia, 30-40 ones in Azerbaijan, and close to 30 in Ukraine.
