100 HecStars for Poland

Source: Hectronic | Posted / Last update: 16-02-2010

Oil company Neste has signed a long term deal for modern autofuel terminals from Hectronic

The HecStar autofuel terminal is a winner. Some two years ago oil company Neste had 60 of its unmanned filling stations in Poland equipped with HecStars. Now another 100 sites are having them fitted. “It’s a fantastic deal and a great endorsement of what we do,“ says sales director Oliver Huber, who handled negotiations with section head Frank Gampp and Hectronic Poland, which worked out positively all round. “The collaboration with Neste went very well,” adds Dariusz Kostrzewa, CEO of Hectronic in Poland.

The rollout is under way, now the 2nd generation autofuel terminals are being gradually installed. These have the latest technology that corresponds to EMV-2/PCI standards. They are also set up for accepting payments via barcode, which in turn means that it can handle monies on account. The same applies to non-contact credit card payments via RFID.  “It’s simple, it’s fast and there’s no wear and tear,” says Frank Gampp listing the advantages of these models. Besides the new equipment, Neste has also ordered 60 upgrade sets for the equipment already installed.

This means that, to undergo the technical upgrade, just the electronic insert needs to be exchanged rather than the entire autofuel terminals. “This provides investment security and minimises costs,” emphasises Oliver Huber.
