Kroger and Shell promotion aims to save customers money at the gas pump

Kroger's Michigan Division launched a new fuel rewards program that allows Kroger customers to use fuel points, which they earn by using their Kroger Plus Card while shopping, to save on fill-ups at Kroger Fuel Centers and Shell gas stations.

Customers can opt to redeem up to 1,000 fuel points (one point is earned for every dollar spent) per visit and save up to $1.00 per gallon off gas at Kroger stations or can save 10 cents per gallon at Shell stations by redeeming 100 points per visit. The offer is good up to 35 gallons per visit.

Fuel points also can be earned through eligible filled prescriptions, worth 50 points each, and customers can earn two fuel points for every dollar spent on Kroger gift cards.

The promotion is good in Kroger and Shell's Detroit, Lansing, Flint and Saginaw market areas.
