Xiamen’s 1st natural gas filling station to open

The filling station is located in Caitang on Lvling Road. It will begin to serve the first batch of 50 natural gas-fuelled buses in the city.

Another five CNG filling stations, including a primary station, a standard station and three secondary stations, will be built within this year. Furthermore, a total of 12 CNG filling stations will be built within three years.

This year, Xiamen will replace 300 diesel-fueled buses with natural gas-fuelled buses. The exhaust emissions of new buses will reach National III Emission Standard.

In the next few years, more than 1,000 natural gas-fuelled buses will be put into use in Xiamen, nearly half of the total number of buses in the city, according to Xiamen Bus Group.
