Record bookings for oil expo

Despite the difficult economic climate and the problems facing the sector 80% of the space has been booked which is an 18% increase on the same time last year.  Exhibitors already booked include Central Welding, Cisternas Cobo, Dantac Ltd, Harlequin Oil Tanks, Elaflex Ltd, Feldbinder (UK) Ltd, Harvest Energy, Indox, Mabanaft Ltd, Magyar, Maidment Tanker Services, Reelcare and first time exhibitor Novaflex Ltd.

Vanessa Cook, FPS EXPO 2011 Marketing and Events Manager, said the surge in exhibitors was excellent news and underlined the strength and resilience of the industry. “This is excellent news and will ensure that FPS EXPO 2011 will be a leading showcase event for the oil distribution industry, FPS EXPO 2011 will provide a terrific platform to show visitors the latest industry technology and give them the opportunity to source solutions from a comprehensive cross section of oil distribution industry manufacturers, distributors and suppliers,” she said.

In addition to the packed exhibition halls, highlights of FPS EXPO 2011 will include the presentation of three prestigious industry awards by the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS) to Driver of the Year, Depot of the Year and Young Employee of the Year at a glittering awards event on the final evening of the exhibition that attracts up to 700 guests.

FPS EXPO 2011 will also host a comprehensive workshop programme which will deliver informative sessions to help the industry with legal and legislative topics. Delegates also have the opportunity to take part in the annual FPS Golf Day, which will be held at the prestigious Pannal Golf Club, Harrogate on Wednesday 13 April.
