Elaflex and L.G. Equipment partnering

ELAFLEX HIBY Tanktechnik GmbH & Co, based in Hamburg / Germany acquired a stake in LPG nozzle manufacturer L.G.Equipment Pty. Ltd. (LGE), based in Sydney / Australia. The company designs, manufactures and distributes the renown 'GasGuard' LPG nozzle range for vehicle and industrial filling applications.

“This deal is a perfect synergy” said Philip Treloar, Managing Director of L.G.Equipment. “We are the market leader for LPG nozzles in the Asia Pacific and other International regions. LGE's customer base will benefit greatly from the additional high quality product lines offered by Elaflex. The extensive LPGas nozzle, hose and breakaway coupling product program, along with the imminent introduction of a new High Flow GasGuard nozzle will extend the opportunities for the distribution network."

Both organisations recently updated their LPG products. The cooperation could allow both companies to market the whole GasGuard and Elaflex LPG range, but according to both, existing long-standing distribution structures will remain unchanged for the time being.

We have many complementing products, and therefore we will start to reciprocally market these. For example, we are interested to market special versions of the GasGuard nozzle range, while LGE might start to supplement their basket with our ARK 19 safety break and plasticizer free LPG 16 hose."

When two companies team up, customers and distributors will always ask: what will be the change for me? Stefan Kunter: "There will be few changes, and if - to the benefit of our customers. LGE will remain to design, produce and distribute LPG nozzles, at the present location, with unchanged staff and - with Philip Treloar, as LGE's managing director."
