TATNEFT expands filling station network

Tatneft-AZS Center in Almetyevsk, Tatarstan, opened 7 new stations with their total number now reaching 270 outlets

The station network comprises 150 filling stations located in the territory of Tatarstan, while the rest are distributed over Mari El, Chuvashia, Udmurtia, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions.

Until the end of this year Tatneft AZS-Center plans to commission 8 more filling stations. The growth of filling stations number in 2009 reached 21 outlets and additionally a liquefied gas (LPG) carriers filling line was put into operation. This activity is performed in accordance with the strategy of OAO TATNEFT on development of the filling stations retail supply chain till 2011.

Tatneft-AZS Center is a member of TATNEFT Group of Companies within the block of crude oil and petroleum products sale. The Company provides for transportation, storage, wholesale and retail sales of crude oil and gas in the Volga-Urals area and is one of the leaders in this market segment. One of the distinct activities of the Company is shipment of major wholesales (including export shipments) of gas products produced by OAO TATNEFT.

The filling stations' network of OAO TATNEFT includes 626 stations (including rented ones) now. 490 filling stations located in the Russian Federation and 136 stations located in the Ukraine. In addition to the above mentioned regions, petroleum products are sold through its own retail network in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, as well as in Moscow, Leningrad, Arkhangelsk, Vladimir, Tver, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Kemerovo Regions, and the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
