South Korea’s KIA wins for first time “Best Value in America” award in EV/Hybrid category
The 2015 Kia Soul EV has won "Best Value in America" in the Electric/Plug-in Hybrid category according to a review made by a company named Vincentric, which describes itself as a source of cost-of-ownership data and automotive analysis.
Vincentric said it measured cost of ownership considering depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. It said that the Kia was a first time winner in the category.
Vincentric said in its press release that its data is used by worldwide automobile manufacturers. Kia has one manufacturing plant in the US but it only makes there the Sorento and the Optima, the statement said.
