English Español Cepsa starts selling lubricants in Colombia

Spain-based Cepsa has started to sell lubricants in the Colombian market where it expects to reach within five year sales volumes of 1,800 annual tonnes, Cepsa said in late March in a statement.

Cepsa is present in Colombia since 2001 but in the areas of crude oil exploration and production and will now introduce the lubricants Xtar and Moto, given the large numbers of motorcycles. The company is going into the market in partnership with Relevo, which already operates locally.

“We want to consolidate a presence in Latin America,” said Carlos Giner, director of lubricants at Cepsa.

Cepsa is currently selling some 235,000 tonnes of lubricants in over 80 countries.
