Pertamina plans to scale down operation, EBR reports

The state-owned hydrocarbon company of Indonesia, Pertamina, plans to reduce its operations in a bid to save costs, according to a report published by EBR, which in turn said it was quoting the Jakarta Post.

According to the information, Pertamina president Dwi Soetjipto said that only crude from nearby oil fields will be processed so that refineries will be run at significantly reduced running rates.
The company operates six refineries with one million barrels/day total processing capacity.
