Dallas-based 7-Eleven buys US northeast convenience store chain Tedeschi Food Shops
The Dallas-based 7-Eleven said in a statement issued May 18 that it will buy Tedeschi Food Shops which is a convenience store network with 182 sites located for the most part in the Boston area, state of Massachusetts, as well as in the nearby state of New Hampshire.
The transaction is anticipated to close in mid-2015, subject to standard closing conditions and regulatory approval.
"Tedeschi is a respected brand and this acquisition fits in perfectly with 7‑Eleven's growth strategy," said Stan Reynolds, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of 7‑Eleven.
7‑Eleven, Inc. calls itself “the premier name and largest chain in the convenience retailing industry”. It operates, franchises or licenses nearly 10,500 7‑Eleven stores in North America.
