Vivo Energy Mauritius sees earnings rise 4% in first quarter 2015

Vivo Energy Mauritius said in a statement issued May 20 that its gross earnings rose 4% in the first quarter compared with the same period last year adding it considers this a good result as it occurred amid a strong dollar appreciation vs. the local currency which sharply increased administrative costs.

Earnings from a joint-venture fuel business at the local airport also helped, the company added.

Vivo Energy Mauritius said that during this period it introduced the Shell gas canister named Shell Gas Lite in addition to a partnership with package delivery service company DHL.
The company has 44 service stations and directly employs 124 people, according to the company press release.
