English Español Mexican fuel retail organization Onexpo approves of Pemex accord with state attorney so that fraudulent stations will lose concessions

The Mexican state oil company Pemex and the office of the country’s state attorney for consumer issues have announced that they will take away Pemex concessions from any retailer detected committing any type of fraud, fuel retailer organization Onexpo said May 25 adding it approves of the decision.

Onexpo explained that it approves of the decision because it will improve the protection of consumer rights and increase overall consumer trust toward fuel retailers.

The inspections will gradually reach all participants in the fuel retail network in Mexico. Pemex facilities as well as its entire system of fuel distribution will also be inspected under the new approved program.

Onexpo said that the information was first provided by La Vanguardia newspaper.
