Spain: gasoline and diesel prices climb for a fourth consecutive month
The Spanish National Commission of Markets and Competition, known as CNMC for its Spanish language acronym, said on June 26 that gasoline and diesel rose in May for a fourth consecutive month.
The average fuel price in Spain rose 2.3% to 1.32 euro/liter while average diesel prices rose 2.4% to 1.21 euro/liter.
During the last four months there was a cumulative price increase of 9% for 95-octane gasoline prices while diesel prices rose 6% in the same period.
The lowest fuel prices were those offered by hypermarkets. Of fuel stations operating under flags BP had the lowest prices.
