Netherlands: OrangeGas, Total open CNG station in The Hague
Dutch renewable natural gas supplier OrangeGas has opened its first compressed natural gas (CNG) filling station in The Hague, Netherlands.
The new CNG station will be set-up at the Total de Uithof filling station, where traditional fuels can also be found, as a result of a joint venture between Orange Gas and Total Netherlands.
The Netherlands is developing a strong alternative fuel market. The new OrangeGas site will be one of the 145 natural gas stations in the country, which service around 11,000 natural gas vehicles (NGVs).
The new station will service the Connexxion taxis in The Hague. Total Netherlands has already expressed interest in developing more projects with OrangeGas.
“This addition to our service is an important step in expanding our product range”, said Vincent Leroy, Director Retail. “‘We have chosen to cooperate, because we would like to give meaning to our mission of Positive Energy. With the opening of this first green gas delivery point, we endorse the view that transport in our eyes is even more sustainable.”
