Central Europe’s first LNG station opens in Poland
PGK Srem has opened the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) filling station in Poland and Central Europe, an addition to Europe’s expanding network of natural gas stations, reported NGV Global News.
The station, located next to the Mateuszewie landfill and built and supplied by Cryogas M&T Poland, does not only serve PGK Srem’s LNG-powered garbage truck fleet but also provides fast refilling to all natural gas vehicles (NGV).
PGK Srem plans to further expand its fleet by buying more NGV in 2016. Currently, its trucks include IVECO Daily, Eurocargo and Stralis LNG.
Cryogas, moreover, has been contracted to supply natural gas to the facility for three years.
