Ukraine: Swiss firm's buy of Rosneft gas stations slammed
Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee (AMC) has declined to consider the appeal of Switzerland-based Glusco Energy S.A. on the purchase of Rosneft chain of gas stations in Ukraine, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
It was reported that the Russian state-owned oil company sold its gas stations in Ukraine, which operate under the brands of Formula, TNK, Gold Cheetah (Zoloty Hepard), and Smile, to the Swiss firm, according to website Independent Auditor.
"On January 11, 2016 the AMC received an appeal from Glusco Energy S.A. on granting permission for concentration, which was left without consideration," stated the AMC press service.
No reasons were provided for the decision.
Glusco Energy is part of Swiss oil trader Proton Energy Group S.A., which has supplied 500,000 tons of diesel fuel to Ukraine in 2015.
