Filld brings fuel on-demand to San Francisco

A prominent on-demand fuelling start-up is gaining more customers by the day. Filld promises customers they will never have to stop for gas again, as it deliveries fuel day and night through its trucks.

Users just have to download the app and pin the location of where their car is parked. After they request the service, normally overnight, a Filld truck will come and fill up the car´s tank. Drivers need to remember to leave the car tank open during that time.

The price paid by users will be the average rate of the nearest five gas stations plus a five-dollar service fee for each fuelling.

Filld is currently piloting its program in the San Francisco area and has plans to expand over the next nine months.

The app seems especially suited to large urban areas where is going to be more and more difficult to have a nearby gas station.

Other on-demand fuelling apps have started in areas such as Los Angeles, where Purple brings fuel to users through portable gas cans, with a limit of 15 gallons per trip.
