The project, called Rottco Synergy, “will connect the independent gas stations in a coordinated network,” said a company release.

Rottco’s Paul Pop, a former director at oil firms Rompetrol and Lukoil, wants to attract at least 50 from the current 600 fuel stations in the country, which are not owned or affiliated to big oil firms, reported Romania-insider.com.

“The new gas station network of independent entrepreneurs will sell fuel of the same quality with of large distribution network of oil products, the network members having the option to choose suppliers of products respecting tax and specific quality conditions,” said a press release cited by The Romania Journal.

Rottco will fund the integration of gas stations and will coordinate the network’s marketing programs.
