Philippines: Chevron to expand gas station network in Mindanao
Chevron Philippines country chairman Peter Morris announced plans to build 32 stations in the country, a quarter of which will be in the region of Mindanao, reported The Standard.
The energy company markets the Caltex brand and operates approximately 700 stations in the Philippines, which include around 150 stations in Mindanao, the southernmost part region of the country.
The 32 new petrol stations will be built in Metro Manila and growth areas in the regions of Visayas and Mindanao.
Mindanao, said Morris, promises growth potential especially under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte. Duterte, who was elected as the new Philippine president, had served for more than two decades as mayor of Davao City, a prosperous city in Mindanao.
