The National reported that a 22-year-old man lost control of his pick-up after suffering an epileptic seizure while driving. The truck crash into the glass window of a McDonald’s at the Eppco station killing a 45-year-old woman and a nine-year-old boy. Six others were injured.

The fatal accident has pushed the Ajman Police to take precautionary measures such as requiring businesses to install iron barriers and banning from driving those who suffer from epilepsy or other conditions that could cause sudden unconsciousness, reported the Khaleej Times.

Petrol station managers welcome the new directive with some wanting it to be implemented in residential areas and across the country.
