By the end of year fuel specialist RaceTrac will offer E15 at more than 100 of its locations. The octane-88 fuel is made of 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline, reports Biofuels International.

"With the debut of E15 in more than 100 of our stores, RaceTrac is proud to provide our guests a competitively priced alternative fuel option to complement our already diverse offering which today includes other alternative fuel products such as E85 flex-fuel," said Max McBrayer, chief supply officer at RaceTrac.

The Environmental Protection Agency approved E15 for use in vehicle models form 2001 or newer.

“Consumer demand for E15 is on the rise thanks to its lower price point and environmental benefits and RaceTrac is another example of a retailer committed to providing their customers with the best fueling options,” said Emily Skor, Growth Energy CEO.

Based in Atlanta, family-owned RaceTrac operates more than 400 convenience stores in Georgia, Florida, Louisiana and Texas.
