US: McLane clinches supply deal for new Mirabito stores

McLane Company, provider of grocery and foodservice supply chain solutions in the United States, has won a multi-year deal to provide services to 29 Xtra Mart convenience store locations starting January 2017.

The Xtra Mart stores, located in central New York and Northeast Pennsylvania, were recently acquired by Mirabito Holdings and will be rebranded Mirabito c-stores.

McLane now handles all of Mirabito’s c-store locations in the eastern region, bringing the total to more than 100 stores, stated a company release.

“McLane Company has been servicing our current stores for 20 years and we are excited that McLane will be servicing our newest addition to the Mirabito Family. McLane has been a critical part of our success and growth,” said Chief Operating Officer Rich Mirabito.

McLane’s Center for Category Innovation and its foodservice solutions McLane Kitchen would also be instrumental in Mirabito’s plans to launch newly remodeled stores and introduce specialty, fresh and frozen items and equipment next year.
