Dubai to install 100 EV chargers
Electric vehicle mobility in Dubai is set to improve with the installation of 100 charging points.
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is installing 100 charging points across Dubai to promote the use of electric vehicles in the emirate, reports Construction Week Online.
“Electric vehicles are still emerging in the Middle East and one of our key pillars in our global strategy is to support sustainability, and that is also part of the UAE 2021 vision,” said John O’Brien, UAE country manager of AXA Gulf, a sponsor of the project.
Dubai has set the target of reducing carbon emissions by 16% by 2021 and is promoting alternative fuels as part of its strategy.
