Gilbarco Veeder-Root strengthens market position with Orpak Systems acquisition

Gilbarco Veeder-Root announces acquisition of Orpak Systems, an Israeli company that provides services for petrol stations in 60 different countries.

Last update:

Just two days after Orpak Systems finalized the acquisition of Logicom, a provider for fuel stations and c-store station automation in Greece, the company has been sold to global experts in fuelling solutions, Gilbarco Veeder-Root.

Headquartered in Bnei Brak, Israel, Orpak delivers extensive technology solutions to oil companies and commercial fleets.

The acquisition signals Gilbarco’s commitment to expanding its presence in high growth markets and to leveraging Orpak’s technologies relative to automating station and fleet management systems, according to a company release.

“Orpak is an important part of our future growth engine. The Orpak team brings valuable expertise into the Gilbarco Veeder-Root family, allowing us to accelerate technology advancements,” said Martin Gafinowitz, President, Gilbarco Veeder-Root.

Orpak will become part of Gilbarco’s organization, in a new division that will maintain the Orpak name. The division will continue to operate from its existing facility in Israel and subsidiaries around the world.

The acquisition strengthens Gilbarco´s product and service portfolio after seeing how many of its competitors – Wayne, Tokheim, ClearView, Fairbanks, ProGauge, and OPW’s Fuel Management Systems – where all brought under one single business, Dover Fueling Solutions.
