Retailing giant Walmart wants to make the most of Florida´s growing economy.  In a plan that spreads over a year, the company will open nine new stores, execute a multi-million-dollar capital investment that includes remodelling 40 stores, and the grand opening of its 150-acre e-commerce distribution centre campus in Davenport, to the southwest of Orlando.

“This year has been an exciting one for Walmart in Florida, and we’ll build on that momentum as we continue to focus on how to better serve our customers through innovation and investments so they can save both time and money,” said Elise Vasquez-Warner, Walmart’s vp/regional general manager in North Florida.

Walmart Pay is another feature that will be launched state-wide during this year.
