Germany adds two new hydrogen stations

The German government has invested approximately EUR 1.6 million in two new stations opened recently in Frankfurt am Main and Wiesbaden.

The stations located in Frankfurt's Hanauer Landstrasse 334 and Wiesbaden’s Borsigstrasse 1 are the latest addition to the growing hydrogen filling station network in the country.

Germany currently has 30, with target to open 100 stations by 2018, and up to 400 by 2023.

The joint venture H2 Mobility Deutschland and its partners Air Liquide, Daimler, Linde, and Shell have been working together to expand the hydrogen fuel the network.

H2 Mobility commissioned the Frankfurt hydrogen station while Daimler AG is the owns the station in Wiesbaden. The innovative H2 handling technology hails from Air Liquide respectively Linde.

Both stations are located on Shell premises as well as conveniently situated directly on the A661 and A66 motorways at key points of intersection for people driving from north to south through Germany.
