Forty skimming devices found in Arizona gas stations

Officials are warning Arizona motorists about skimming devices at gas stations after three more were found last week.

Last update:

Drivers in the State of Arizona have been warned about gas station skimming devices after a total of 40 have been discovered during 2017.

Two devices were stripped from fuel pumps last week at two Glendale gas stations, according to the Arizona Department of Agriculture.

The Agriculture Department advises people to wiggle card readers before using to check if they are loose or broken; that may be a sign someone has tampered with it.

In the last case of skimming devices, the Pinal County Sheriff´s Office believe the men posed as either gas station or gas pump repair employees.
