Electric vehicle chargers outnumber petrol stations in Denmark

Denmark now has more electric vehicle docking stations than petrol stations, according to The Copenhagen Post citing the latest report from the Danish energy association, Dansk Energi.

Electric vehicle (EV) chargers have outnumbered petrol stations only by two with 2,030 publicly-accessible EV docking stations versus 2,028 fuel stations.

But despite the available infrastructure, only 182 electric cars have been sold in Denmark this year.

The weak sales were said to be affected by the Danish government's decision to bring back the registration tax for electric cars.
