Texas car wash hires homeless people
Bo Guard Detailing, a car wash located in the 7800 block of Homestead in northeast Houston, Texas, has been giving jobs to homeless people for more than 15 years, reports 12newsnow.com.
The car wash owner, Dorothy Bickham, said she has hired, paid, fed, and housed more than 400 people with no homes. Bickham herself used to live on the streets.
She believes that homeless people are also humans, and they need help and a second chance.
"They are people, and I tell them when you get here, you're not homeless no more," Bickham said.
Many situations have become success stories, she added, by just giving them another chance.
