Ireland: Topaz to spend €6m in launch of new fuel brand

Topaz is investing €6 million in the roll-out and promotion of its new fuel brand, Miles, across its entire petrol station network.

Last update:

Irish drivers will be able to purchase a new fuel across Topaz´s 430 gas stations in Ireland. Miles is a fuel brand owned by Canadian retailing giant Alimentation Couche-Tard, which acquired the Irish company in February 2016, reports the Irish Times.

Miles fuels have a diesel version, which contains a new additive that works towards efficient fuel combustion reducing fuel consumption by up to 3% in heavy duty vehicles, while the unleaded reduces metal to metal friction and prevents the build-up of deposits in your engine, according to Topaz.

With the €6 million investment Topaz hopes to cover the costs of new pumps, forecourt renovation and branding, as well as marketing and sales services for the new fuel.
