FRANKLIN FUELING SYSTEMS UPP™ BRAND PIPING SYSTEMS RECEIVES GERMAN DIBT EN PIPE CERTIFICATION

Franklin Fueling Systems announces the successful completion of German DIBt EN Pipe certification for its UPP™ brand pipework, which like the recently achieved KIWA Netherlands certification is something that only a few pipe manufacturers in the world have obtained.

HIGHLIGHTS

•  DIBt certification is a prerequisite to installing pipework systems in the German market.

•  Certification required product testing at levels above and beyond typical EN piping testing, including a zero permeation requirement.

•  Pipe samples filled with test fuel were placed in a closed environment, where the minimum trace of hydrocarbon coming from permeation could be detected and measured in the atmosphere surrounding the pipe.

•  DIBt certification also requires that manufacturing facility auditing takes place, to ensure that the product being sold is the same as the product that was originally tested and meets the same requirements.
