Petrobras Distribuidora announces its own‘eco-efficient’ program

Petrobras Distribuidora will save 174 million liters of fuel and will avoid producing 464,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide in transport operations by the fleet used to service its network from here to 2022, the company said March 16.

The company said the program had been in a pilot phase but now it will start to be fully implemented. It will involve actions such as renewing the fleet, optimizing logistics and re-training drivers.

The company is also installing pipelines in airports to replace truck deliveries. Railways, hidroways and pipelines will also be increasingly used instead of delivery trucks, it added.
