Argentina: Fuel retailers bill makes it to the legislature
A bill proposal presented by the association of fuel retailers of Argentina better known for its acronym Cecha has already been submitted to the country’s legislature and hopefully it will soon be discussed by legislators for a possible law enactment, the fuel retailers organization said.
Oscar Diaz, president of Cecha, said that the proposal for a bill has two objectives which are limiting the presence of oil companies in fuel retail activities and keeping them from setting, or potentially setting, any final consumer price.
Oil companies should have no more than 15% of the fuel retail market, Cecha said.
