Oxxo taps LivePos for its US c-stores
Convenience store giant Oxxo will be using LivePOS system to power the registers of its new stores in the United States, reported the Digital Journal.
Oxxo, which operates more than 12,000 convenience stores in Mexico and throughout Latin America, has chosen the cloud-based point of sale (POS) platform for its mobility, flexibility, and easy-to-use features. It also comes with a 24/7 phone support.
“(Oxxo’s) search focused on a cloud solution with a mature platform that can scale as they add more and more locations,” said Dekel Ezri, LivePOS Account Manager for OXXO.
The c-store chain plans to use LivePOS as it expands across the United States.
Oxxo’s first shop in the US opened in Eagle Pass, Texas in May 2014. A subsidiary of Fomento Económico Mexicano SAB de CV, it plans to invest approximately $850 million to open 900 convenience stores in the Lone Star State, according to CSP Daily News.
