Switzerland: SOCAR seeks to expand gas station network

SOCAR Energy Switzerland is planning to expand its fuel retailing network in the country by finding new sites and independent partners.

The fuel retailer, part of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic), currently has a network of 158 branded gas stations in Switzerland.

“The company will continue realizing its growth strategy through the selection of new facilities and talks with independent gas station owners about joining brand ‘SOCAR’,” states the company in its website.

SOCAR is expanding its brand across Europe with recent reports indicating the company is increasing its presence in Turkey, Ukraine and Romania.

In Switzerland, SOCAR has a partnership with the country´s biggest supermarket chain, Migrolino, which operates 54 convenience stores at SOCAR gas stations.
