NHA has also suspended the issuance of permits, also known as No Objection Certificate (NOC), and will return all NOCs already filed and pending for approval to the applicants.

According to The News, NHA is formulating a new policy in relation to the issuance of NOCs.

The NHA’s decision received criticisms from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, saying it will affect the full operations of roads constructed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) eventually causing difficulties to the commuters.
