UAE: ENOC to build 10 new sites in Dubai this year
Dubai-based Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) plans to build 10 gas stations in the emirate in 2017 as part of its expansion campaign.
The opening of 10 filling stations fits into ENOC´s strategy to have 54 new sites across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 2020, increasing its current retail network by 40 percent, reports the National.
"The growing demand for service stations is directly linked to the country’s rapid population growth, which presents an opportunity for us to contribute to expanding the UAE’s infrastructural capabilities," said Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Enoc’s group chief executive.
ENOC´s latest opening was a service station in Warsan. The new site features energy-saving technologies such as LED lighting and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF), which reduces energy consumption by 35% compared to regular AC systems.
