Georgia: Wissol Petroleum opens first charging station

Georgia's major fuel network Wissol has launched its first electric vehicle (EV) charging station in the country's capital Tbilisi, on the 13th kilometer of Agmashenebeli Alley.

The charging station, which is open to the public and offers free charging, is the latest addition to two existing EV stations located on Europe square and Turtle Lake, reports agenda.ge.

One more charging station is planned to be opened by Wissol in Gori by end of summer.

The Government of Georgia, moreover, plans to roll out 100 charging stations in the country by the end of 2017.
