Orpak wins tender to automate 10,000 gas stations in India

Orpak Systems has won one of the world's largest fuel automation tenders for over 10,000 gas stations in India.

Service provider for petrol stations Orpak Systems has been selected by IOCL, India´s largest oil company with over 28,000 sites, to deploy its ForeSite fuel station management solution in up to 10,000 stations.

The software company will also be deploying its ForeHB & ForeFuel – Home Station management solution with vehicle identification system at more than 500 IOCL stations across India.

The overall value of the project, including software, hardware and services, has a potential to reach $100,000,000, making it one of the largest ever in the global downstream fuel automation market, according to a press release.

“This recent win underpins our market and technology leadership and positions Orpak as one of the world’s largest automation provider in the fuel market,” said Dharmesh Joshi, Managing Director at Orpak India.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) is India's largest commercial enterprise, with a sales turnover of USD 61 billion, profits USD 1,589 million and a workforce of 33,000 employees.
