US: Pin Oak Terminals’s $600-million facility to start operations
Pin Oak Terminals has announced the official opening of its petroleum liquids storage in St. John the Baptist Parish near the port of South Louisiana.
This two-year project, which required a capital investment of $600 million, will offer services including offloading, storage, heating, blending, and transfer of petroleum liquids.
The terminal is beginning operations with one dock, a two-bay truck rack and four tanks with a capacity of 424,000 barrels of refined products and biofuels, according to Louisiana Economic Development (LED).
As a result, more than 70 new onsite jobs and 81 indirect jobs will be created, “fueling economic growth of Louisiana’s Southeast Region along the Mississippi River,” said Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards.
