World Petroleum Council

The World Petroleum Council (WPC) was founded in London in 1933. It is an international, unbiased, non-political organization that provides a forum for global issues on energy and petroleum and related matters.

The WPC is dedicated to the application of scientific advances in the oil and gas industry, to the technology transfer and to the use of the world's petroleum resources for the benefit of mankind.

Every three years, the World Petroleum Council organizes the World Petroleum Congress as a meeting place for a global discussion of oil and gas issues.
