AEGPL consistently contributes to discussions on policy development in a range of domains, particularly at the level of the European Union. As an engaged and committed stakeholder, AEGPL ensures that the potential contribution of LPG to meeting Europe’s energy and environmental challenges is recognized and understood by decision-makers.
AEGPL policy experts and specialized Committees are particularly focused on the following topics:
- Climate Change and environmental protection
- REACH
- Energy Security
- Energy Efficiency
- Employee & end-user safety, including the development of standards and norms
Additionally, AEGPL maintains an ongoing dialogue with European policy-makers and stakeholders on a range of other issues of importance for the industry, LPG end-users and society as a whole.
It has thus developed a comprehensive network of contacts with diverse organizations such as the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the European Council, Business Europe, European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), CEN, ISO and a series of sector-specific associations involved in the development of energy policy.
